The OE Chlorine Shower
Filter contains a reversible filter cartridge that will filter the shower water
for one year. (One year is based on a family of 4 each taking a 10 minute shower
every day. The filter will last more or less time depending on the situation in
your household.)
The filter is a KDF high
purity alloy which eliminates contaminants from water by utilizing
electrochemical oxidation reduction. The chemical properties of KDF include its
ability to kill algae and fungi, control bacterial growth, remove chlorine,
hydrogen sulfide, iron, lead, cadmium, aluminum, mercury, arsenic and other
inorganic compounds. KDF meets EPA and FDA standards regarding trace amounts of
zinc and copper ions in water, and provides a much longer performance life than
Carbon Filters. Also, unlike carbon filters, KDF filters are recyclable after
they are full, whereas carbon filters are considered hazderous waste.
Directions For Use
Owners Instructions:
Installation:
Remove the existing
shower head from the shower arm.
Attach the Organic
Excellence Shower Filter to the shower arm by screwing the filter clockwise
on to the shower arm.
If you want to use
your existing showerhead, attach the showerhead to the OE Shower Filter by
screwing the showerhead clockwise on to the shower filter.
Operation:
Before entering the
shower:
Turn the shower
water to the "full hot" position.
After hot water is
flowing through the unit, cool to the desired temperature.
Enter the shower and
enjoy.
Maintenance:
The OE Shower Filter can be easily maintained by performing the following
procedures periodically (or when needed) due to lowered filtering performance or
water flow.
Open the shower filter
housing by unscrewing the two Shower Filter halves counter clockwise.
Remove and reverse the
direction of the OE Cartridge. Check that the O-ring located inside each of
the Shower Filter Housing halves is properly seated in the O-ring channel.
Close the shower
filter housing by screwing the Shower Filter Halves clockwise.
This procedure may be
repeated as necessary.
NEW CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
According to individual water conditions, the OE Cartridge should be replaced
after 6-18 months of service by performing the following procedures:
Open the shower filter
housings by unscrewing the shower filter housing counter clockwise.
Remove and replace the
used filter with the OE Cartridge. Check that the O-ring located inside each
of the Shower Filter Housing Halves is properly seated in the O-ring
channel.
Close the shower
filter housing by screwing the Shower Filter halves clockwise

Sprite Slimline Shower Filter
The Slim-Line Shower Filter (SL) combines low-profile styling with Sprite’s exclusive filtration media (Chlorgon)®. Following extensive research and development, the SL provides maximum filtration performance in a minimum sized filter. Taichoseki is a proprietary media used in all Wellness Filters®. On December 15, 1990, the Kitazato Medical School of Public Health in Tokyo, having found that it greatly inhibits the growth of fungus and bacteria, approved Taichoseki mineral stone as a “natural disinfectant”. The Medical School’s studies found that water treated by Taichoseki mineral stone slows down and even stops the growth of fungus and bacteria, including staphylococcus aureus, bacillus subtilis, aspergillus niger, myrothecium verrucaria, trichophyton interdigitale, and candida albicans. This mineral also removes iron, cadmium, and many harmful substances in tap water.
Bakuhanseki is a proprietary media used in all Wellness Filters®. On October 15, 1995, the Japanese Government’s Ministry of Health, Drug Approval Division, gave their approval of the bakuhanseki stone as an approved medicine. The stone is approved for medical purposes in powdered form (oral or skin application), dissolved in water, and for use in water filters for bathing and drinking. The Ministry of Health uses Wellness Filter® water in their hospitals and in many of their approved health bathing spas. (Note: Because the Bakuhanseki mineral stone is designated as a medicine, treatments in health spas are covered by Japanese Government medical plans.) The Bakuhan mineral adjusts the water to a stable alkaline pH, increases dissolved oxygen, removes harmful substances and enhances the taste of the water. It will also remove lead, mercury, and chromium from tap water. It imparts trace Angstrom size minerals (silica, potassium, and magnesium).
SPG Sand - Obtained from volcanic rocks, the surface area of this material is 6.16 sq. meters per gram and provides 0.5-micron level filtration. Produces high efficiency filtration, removes parasites and adsorbs trace heavy metals, and yields very pure water.
Granulated Activated Carbon - Made from highest quality coconut shell carbon. Removes chlorine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organics, volatiles, MTBE, tastes and odors.
Magnet & Magnetite Stone - High flux density (greater than 4,500 gauss) magnetic stone and magnets create magnetic field in filter for magnetic resonance activation of the water. Lowers surface tension, increases solubility and increases absorptivity.
Far-Infrared Ceramic - Proprietary ceramic media made from far infrared emitting stone at 2,200°F. Produces hydroxyl ions and hydrogen ions, which neutralize free radicals. Believed to aid the body in fighting immune disorders, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. |
